Wubbzy Birthday Cake

Wubbzy Birthday Cake

For my son's third birthday my husband and I decided that we would have a Wubbzy cake because my son LOVES Wubbzy. The original directions for the cake can be obtained from nickjr.com. I, however, am not very artistic at all, so I will tell you below how I made the cake.

I started by baking the cake in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. I baked a chocolate cake, but any type of cake will work. While I was baking the cake, I printed the template for the cake, cut out the pieces, colored the feet, tail, and hands with a yellow marker, and covered them in clear contact paper.

After the cake had finished baking and cooling, I placed the eyebrow template I obtained from nickjr.com over the cake and cut out the Wubbzy body. I then iced the cake with a yellow butter cream icing.

I then placed the hands, feet, and tail that I had cut out, colored, and covered in clear contact paper in place. Cut out the eyes, nose, and mouth from the eyebrow template and covered them in contact paper. Then using the cutout template as a guide I placed the eyes, nose, and mouth on the cake and pressed them down gently to get them to stick.

Right before the party I sprinkled some rainbow sprinkles on the tray, and that is how I, a non-artsy, non-crafty mom, made this delightful Wubbzy cake. Now don't you want to try it?

Editor's Note: You did a great job on your son's Wubbzy birthday cake, Kimberlee. Your detailed description of how you created the cake will be very helpful to other moms. We thank you for them.
