White Cake Recipe

Ingredients required:


1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk

Method:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Oil and flour a 9x9 inch pan. Cream sugar and butter together in a bowl.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Add combined flour and baking powder in cream mixture and mix well. Stir in the milk until batter is smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch.

It takes a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes to prepare the cake.
