Wedding Cupcakes

My sister wanted to do something unusual with her wedding cake, and we figured that with the amount of people coming, wedding cupcakes would be the best!

We actually made these cupcakes ourselves. It took quite a lot of work, but we were really happy with the results. All the guests loved the cupcakes.

We had enough cupcakes to serve about 40 people, with a few left over.

The majority of the cost was for the cupcake stand, since we made them ourselves. We also spent some money on the decorations for each individual cupcake. I suppose the cost was about $100.

I definitely think that wedding cupcakes, while less traditional, make a lot more sense than a cake. It's easier to serve, easier to make at home, and ours was a lot yummier than many wedding cakes I've eaten!
