When my wife and I decided on the cake for our wedding, we did not know what to look for. The first thing we started doing was selecting a baker near the reception site so the travel time would be minimal. We did not want any errors to happen on our big day. After testing nearly a dozen flavors we chose this one because it was a summery cake, since our wedding was in July.


The baker who make our cake was well known in the city and was very cost effective. She started out as a small time baker but then grow to a decent sized bakery visible to much of the town. I believe we found her through a referral from the reception site.

Although the cake looks delicious, it is not very big. The maximum number of people it served was 120 which was perfect for us. The baker charged us by the slice for 120 people, so it came out to be around $500 when all was said and done.

The best advice I can give you is test them all out. Don't go by referrals alone and think everything is ok, make sure follow up throughout the week leading up to your wedding. Good luck!
