We Decorated A Store Bought Cake

The wedding cake in the picture is my daughter's wedding cake. We bought the cake undecorated from Weis Grocery Store. We saved money doing a cake this way as we had a small budget.

We decided to have a small cake as it was just family that would be at her wedding. So the 2 tier cake was perfect for her reception of 18 family guests. The top tier was a 10 inch 2 layer cake, and the bottom was a 16 inch 2 layer cake.

When we brought the cake home, I then decorated it with fresh florist-bought flowers. It made a beautiful statement and there was plenty of cake to be served without disturbing the top layer and the floral spray.

The cake cost $35.00 and the flowers were $12.50 which we also bought at the same grocery store, in their floral department.
