Walnut Coconut Cherry Dark Chocolate Cake

Rick, my husband to be at the time of the picture above, has been baking and cooking his entire adult life, so it seemed fitting that he made our cake. Since we were having a very small wedding, 10 people plus the justice of the peace, we decided not to go traditional, but instead we went for what we really like in a cake. And low and behold Rick put his skills to work and came up with a wonderful cake. Everyone that had a piece is till talking about it to this day (we were married in 2002).
