My mom used to make this wacky cake for my 3 brothers, my sister and myself. It was always fun to pour and mix the ingredients. She sometimes doubled the recipe and put it into a 13x9 pan. This is a very moist cake, no frosting needed. It is very good served warm from the oven with Ice cream.
1 1/2 cups of Flour
3 TBSP cocoa
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
5 TBSP melted butter/margarine
1 tsp vinegarCooking Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift dry ingredients 3 times. The 3rd time sift directly into a 9" square ungreased pan. Make 3 holes in the flour mixture. In one pour the vinegar,in 2nd out in vanilla, and in third put in melted butter.
Pour water over the other ingredients. Using a fork mix all the ingredients together until they are mixed well. Make sure to check the edges and the corners.
Bake 35 minutes at 350.
