VW Bug Car Cake

We made this cake for our son's 5th birthday. We used a chocolate cake mix, and made decorator buttercream frosting. We used wilton tips and decorator bags. It was really easy, and came out nicely! I have found that when you are trying to make something black (like the tires) it is best to make a small batch of chocolate frosting and then add some black coloring/gel to it instead of trying to color white frosting.
