Volcano Cake

My son was turning two and really loves dinosaurs. When I looked at the cakes available too me, I thought they were just too plain. I came up with this volcano cake after finding some small dinosaur toys available at the store.

The cake was made with chocolate and vanilla frosting. I used food dye to get the lava colors and sprinkles for the fire sparks. I didn't need a special pan, I just used 2 regular 8" pans and cut one of them to scuplt it into a mountain.
