Vineyard Wedding Cake

A good friend of the family recently got married on a vineyard. The style of the cake was dictated by the vineyard setting and the fall date of the wedding and was thus decorated with grapes and other beautiful fruit in mostly deep, fall colors.

She had the cake itself - chocolate with white, butter cream frosting - made at a local bakery for $200 and then her mother and sister decorated it with the fruit themselves the day of the ceremony.

The cake was three large square tiers that fed 150 guests with plenty left over. It was a great (and yummy) facet of a gorgeous wedding!
