Unique Second Birthday Cake

My son is messy... What 2 year old isn't? He has attended every family birthday since he was born and has always made a disaster with the cake. So for his birthday I decided to make a cake he couldn't demolish. All I needed to make these cakes was a cupcake pan. I poured the cups with batter about halfway, added a waffle cone with the paper on and baked them for about 18 minutes. After they were done I let them cool and frosted them and added a candle to each. They looked like ice cream cones without the running, melted mess.

He loved that he could walk around with it and I loved that he would have a hard time making a mess.
