Time Capsule Birthday Cake

For my oldest son's first birthday, I decided on a "Time Capsule" theme. All invited were mailed an invitation in a small mailing tube (think "Capsule"), and asked to put items, letters, pictures, etc inside of it for my son to open on his 18th Birthday! For the cake, I made a clock (again, think "Time"), set at the time he was born. The cake was round (like a clock), and iced with a dark brown chocolate icing. The numbers were Roman numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9, and done in white icing (as were the clock hands). What was the inspiration for this cake? Time Capsule Theme party.
