Three Tier Wedding Cake Created By A Special Elderly Lady

For my daughter's wedding this past summer, we ordered a great cake from a private establishment. I believe this elderly lady's work was fantastic! She actually worked out of her mobile home in a nice trailor park. My daughter learned about this lady through word of mouth around the college campus. We had to have a limited budget for the wedding expenses, and we were very happy with her work for the cost.

There was one chocolate and one vanilla sheet cake. The top tier I froze for them for their anniversary cake, though I suggested they could eat it at their 1 month or 2 month anniversary since cakes lose their flavor after a few months.

This cake set cost about $185.00. I thought that was a good price for a small wedding. The cake was sufficent to serve 125 guests. There was plenty left over.

My daughter's wedding colors were Calypso blue and a burnt orange. She only wanted the blue for decorating the cake as that was slightly less expensive. She was very pleased, as was everyone else, with her wedding cake.
