The Fruitcake Toss

I've always thought it would be fun to throw baked goods just to see how far they would travel. I just learned that there actually is an organized event to do this with fruitcake. The city of Manitou Springs, Colorado hosts a fruitcake toss every year. I find it particularly funny that not only can you lob fruitcakes by hand, there is also an event where you can also use mechanical help (such as a catapult, trebuchet, snowball launcher, etc) to hurl fruitcakes. Sounds like a lot of fun!
