The Best Fruitcake Ever

Every year my family creates a fruitcake. It is one of my favorite parts of the holidays - and one of my favorite parts of the year. We all gather round and my mom gets out her famous Vrona fruitcake recipe. We all help and listen to music and sometimes even dance. The adults usually drink to each other and to health. And by the end of the night we are left with a usually beaten and battered fruitcake that no one eats! What a waste you might say but it is usually burnt or doesn't taste good. It is not the cake that is important but the people that gather around it.
