Teapot Cake

Teapot Cake

I made this teapot cake for my daughter's seventh birthday. She wanted to have a tea party with her friends and this was the centerpiece. I used the Wilton Classic Wonder Mold pan. I used a pound cake recipe and baked half and then the other half.

To do this, I shaved a small portion off of the small end of one cake for the bottom. Then I turned the other cake on top of the first one to make the teapot. I then iced and decorated with buttercream icing. The handle and spout are store-bought rolled fondant.

This cake was a big hit with little girls!
