Swimming Pool Cake

This cake was made for a 3 year old child. It was inspired by a picture I saw in a magazine when I was in high school. I made a chocolate cake and baked it in a bundt pan. I inverted it on a platter and used bright blue frosting to create a swimming pool in the central hole. The frosting continued up onto the top of the cake as well. I then used Teddy Grahams as the swimmers. I used a frosting tube to make swimming suits on the teddy bears and gave some of them sun glasses. Unfortunately I do not have a picture, but this cake was extremely easy. It could be further decorated with small umbrellas, Life Saver inner tubes, etc. |
