Strawberry Birthday Cake

Hi, I'm a guy so baking instantly is something that I am not gifted in, but I decided to make the cake after my daughter begged me to do so for her. So, I put on the apron and tryed to wing it as best as I could.

I picked up some cake mix (white) and followed the instructions on the back. After the cake was done and rose (it was a little lopsided) I put white icing all over it. I then cut strawberries up and put them on top of the cake. It tasted a lil dry and thick when we ate it, but the strawberries and icing negated that. I did not use a special pan and the child was 6. I do have a picture of it.
