Spring Wedding Cake With Pastel Flowers

When my husband and I were looking for a wedding cake, we decided to go see his aunt because she is a baker in the area and comes highly recommended. We had an early spring wedding and wanted to incorporate the different colors of the season and the idea that everything frozen is new and coming to life so we decided on a white frosting with vibrantly colored flowers all along.

The inside was a marble chocolate and vanilla cake. We chose the three tier model as we were going to save our first tier for our one year wedding anniversary. The bottom two tiers plus an extra flat sheet cake were enough to feed the 100 guests that we had at the wedding.

We ended up getting the cake as a wedding gift from my husband's aunt, but normally the charge would have been $400.00 which is not bad in the least.
