SpongeBob Squarepants Cake

This was one of my first character cakes. It was for a little boy who just loved SpongeBob. I had a lot of fun making it. The greatest part about this cake was that the 7 year old boy had some dietary restrictions and his parents could not get a bakery to make the cake for him. They brought me ingredients that he could tolerate and I made it for him. It felt great.

As for the picture, I printed out as many images I could find from the web and took my time. It was really just a series of some squares, rectangles and wavy lines that I piped onto two 9 X 13 cakes, but the hardest part was that it was time consuming. In the end, it was worth it when I saw his face.
