Sponge Cake Recipe
for an easy Sponge Cake Recipe?
1 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon of grated lemon rind
1 cup of flour
Preheat oven to 315 degrees Fahrenheit
Bake for 15 minutes
Use a 10x15x1-inch pan
The first step is to separate the
eggs. Then beat the yolks until they are thick. You add the sugar a little bit
at a time and then add the lemon juice and lemon rind. Add the sifted flour and
then cut and fold in the beaten egg whites. Use an ungreased pan in a an oven
set to a moderate 315 F.
Leave it in for 15 minutes until until the cake is puffed. By then it should
have lost its shine and it should spring back when you press it gently.

this wonderful confection at tea-time. The most common variation is constructed
with two slices with jam or whipped cream (like the one pictured below) in between.
which uses heavy whipping cream and raspberry jam, is described as
"decadent." It uses eight ingredients, including a cup of butter, a
cup of heavy whipping cream and a whole jar of raspberry jam.
It's probably best eaten in
moderation -- to say the least!
