Spice Cake

Spice cake is an essential part of holiday dessert time. There are several varieties that can be made with different fruits like pumpkin, apple, or raisin.

One unique characteristic of this treat, which is obvious from the name, is the large number of spices that are used to make them. Among the most common are cinnamon, and nutmeg, while others that are used include: cloves, allspice, ginger, among others.

Historically, it was originally baked and made more as a bread, without the use of a mold. Nowadays they are baked in a variety of different styles, as well as still more like a bread for some.

Following are some recipes that you may find to your liking, but they are only two among literally dozens, or even hundreds.
