Spice Cake For Wedding

This cake was made by my boyfriend for my son's wedding. They had originally wanted a cake with the tiers stacked on top of each other but due to the type of frosting that was used, the cake slide off so it was decided to have each layer seperate.

The spice cake was made from scratch and frosted with a buttercream frosting. The cake served 50 guests with a bunch left over. The flowers were fake and the topper was bought at the dollar store.

The whole cake cost about $30 to make. My boyfriend is NOT a professional but this cake looks like it was done by a professional. This proves that your wedding cake can look very nice and not cost you a fortune.
