Space Station Cake

I found a great cake for a 9yr old. Space station. I altered it a bit from the book but it looks fabulous (I think it is better than the one in the book personally).

I made a big slab butter cake then I cut out a large circle and created a hole in the middle. I then cut a hole in the middle of that piece too. To now you have a wheel type cake and a cylinder with a hole in the middle of it. Keep the small piece from the middle of the cylinder you use it later. Stand cylinder on its end and cut in to 3 equal parts (to make curved bridges). Make your butter cream icing and then cover the cake and the pieces. Decorate as desired.
