Skateboard Cake For 11 Year Old Boy Birthday
My son is big into skateboards so I TRIED to make a skateboard cake lol. Mind you it did not come out as great as I wanted it too.
I wanted to use pretzel stick (log type one) or something simular to hold the wheels together (like the truck) But I kinda forgot... So I used the cake that was left from cutting the shape.
I used 1 rectangle cake (with the sides cut inwards a bit) and 1 circle cake (cut in half)... I used 2 boxes of mix... and it came out real yummy. The wheels were a BIT big. I should've used smaller donuts but the store didnt have any. My kids didnt mind so that worked out.
I think anyone could make this cake. It was super easy & can be styled in so many ways. If you had tons (I mean TONS) of M&Ms or simular, you could make a whole design on it (got the idea from the M&M site)
If you know how to stencil you could also make some really awesome designs on it as well. But I dont know how to stencil & did not have a huge supply of candy so my husband tried his best "Flame Job" & my son (just turned 11) really loved it and was super proud of it. So that is what matters the most! Oh and YES I would so make this cake again! It was SUPER EASY!
