Simple Homemade Wedding Cake

This wedding cake was made for my nephew's wedding by a close family friend. The wedding was very small (15 people) and held in our spacious garden. The pattern of leaves on the cake reflects the fact that it was a garden party. The icing is vanilla and the inside of the cake was white with a fruit filling.

In addition to this cake, there was another one that was chocolate and strawberry filling. Both cakes were a big hit and the wedding was very simple and down to earth. Between the two cakes there was enough to feed 15 people.
