Roses And Ivy Wedding Cake

(Florida, USA)

Roses And Ivy Wedding Cake

Roses And Ivy Wedding Cake

I did not want anything over the top for my wedding cake. I wanted a cake that looked simple, classic, and elegant. I really wanted fresh red roses and the ivy design on the cake to tie in with the decor. My centerpieces were red roses with ivy going down the flower stands.

I had it made at Elite Cakes and they advised me to get the cake on pillars to make it look larger as it was only for 60 people and 2 tiers. I was skeptical that it wouldn't look good, but I'm so glad that I did. It made the cake a focal point and otherwise it would not have been as impressive as it was. I think it is a great idea for brides that are having small wedding, but still want that wow factor for their cake. You can’t tell from the picture, but it had pillars underneath the cake as well as in between the layers to make it taller.

I'm not sure what the cake cost as it came with our reception package. I did pay a $60 upgrade for white chocolate mousse filling and the use of the pillars. The cake and the filling were really delicious. Overall, I was really happy with the outcome of my cake. It was exactly what I wanted.
