Rich Chocolate Cake Recipe
I have some special association with my aunts. I got this recipe from my aunt (my mother's sister) and everytime I have tried this it has worked perfectly for me. My friends love this recipe and they ask me everytime, we have One-Dish party, to bring this cake. Hope you will enjoy it!
Ingredients:
Eggs : 3
Flour: 1 cup
Oil: 3/4 cup
Sugar: 3/4 cup
Baking Powder: 1/2 tsp
Vanilla Esence: 2-3 drops
(or Vanilla Extract: 1 tsp)
Cocoa powder: 5 tbsp
Ovaltine: 1 tbsp
Coffee Powder: 1 tsp
Directions:
PRE:
1. Make utensil ready with oil and flour before starting on batter.
2. Pre-heat the oven
Separate eggs yoke and white in a bowl. (Make sure bowl is dry). Beat eggs white with beater until tips are formed. Now put yokes and beat again. Put baking powder and keep on beating with the beater. Put oil slowly slowly while beating. Then add sugar and continue beating. Put vanilla essence and cocoa powder and beat again until the bater is mixed completely. (You can add cocoa powder as much as you like). Add Ovaltine if you like rich chocolate taste and add a coffee powder to give it a more chocy touch.
When all the ingredients are mixed thoroghly then add flour (small amount at a time) and mix with a fork. Put the batter in cooking utensil.
Put it in pre heat oven and wait for 35-40 mins.
To check if the cake is ready insert a dry khife or toothpick in the cake to depth. If no ingrediants stick to knife or toothpick, it means the cake is ready.
Let it cool and cover with chocolate topping.
(You can cut the cake in the middle horizontally and add the topping in the center and then cover it with full topping).
Decorate with some solid crush chocolate and icing sugar. Keep it in refrigerator and let it cool.
