Red Velvet Wedding Cake With White Fondant
I had a red velvet cake covered in white fondant. I decided to use this style of wedding cake because I am a plain Jane. I like things elegant, but clean cut. I also wanted the cake to match my dress, which had a long busseled train, and white and gold flowers on it.
I decided to get four tiers because the 3 tier cake was too small, but the 5 tier cake was too large. I bought the cake from a cake shop called Myle's Bakery in my old college town. The cake was pretty expensive. It came out to be about $2,800. The cake served about 180 guests. It was so beautiful!
