Red Velvet Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting And Berries
My husband and I made this variation of a red velvet cake for our church fellowship lunch.
We have recipes to make this from scratch, but due to time considerations we used a Duncan Hines Signature Red Velvet Cake Mix and Betty Crocker Creamy Cream Cheese Frosting.
We topped it off with fresh strawberries and blueberries. We also laid some of those berries along the outer edge of the cake.
We baked two boxes of the cake mix and decided to use three of the four available layers. The layers were thin, so that's why we decided not to use just two of them. Had we used the fourth layer, the cake would have looked too tall.
