Popeye And Olive Cakes

My soon-to-be three-year-old son loves Popeye the Sailor Man and wanted a Popeye cake and an Olive cake--had to be separate cakes--for his 3rd birthday. So that's what I made him. I used plain round cake pans and then cut away the excess to form the characters' heads. I used all buttercream frosting to decorate the cakes using a star tip. Popeye was a vanilla cake and Olive was chocolate. He was thrilled with them!
