Pineapple Upside Down Cake Recipe

This is a quick and easy recipe used by Aunt Gummy. It uses a store-bought cake mix and a large can of sliced pineapple.


1 box Duncan Hines Pineapple Supreme Cake Mix
(prepared according to the directions on the package)
1 large can of sliced pineapples
1 jar of Maraschino cherries
1 stick of butter or margarine
1 cup of tightly packed brown sugar

Use a 13"x9" baking pan

Turn oven on to 350 F and melt the butter.
Then sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the butter.
Arrange pineapple slices on top of sugar and butter mixture.
Cut cherries in half and place a half of a cherry in the middle of each pineapple ring.

Bake at 350 F for 40 minutes or until brown.

Special Tip: For extra flavor you can substitute pineapple juice from the can for the water.
