Pineapple Cake

This is an old recipe handed down from my mother. She always made this cake for church functions and it was very popular with the Baptist pastor crowd! Now it is my husband's favorite cake.


Ingredients:

1 cake mix
1 large can of crushed pineapple
1 medium bowl of whipped topping
1 Tbsp sugar

Preparation:

Bake cake as directed on box. Let cool. Drain juice from pineapple into cup. Finish filling up cup with water. Add sugar to juice\water. Poke several holes in cake with fork. Pour liquid on cake layers. Spread crushed pineapple on layers, then cover with whipped topping. Keep in refrigerator.
