I followed the instructions for this cake and because the icing was wrapped around a grapefruit, the oil in the peel reacted with the sugar and melted it! By the time of the party the face had all but fallen off!

The Peppa Marketing people are missing a niche here, aren't they. Love your Peppa. Heather may well have gone off her by May - she loves trains, handbags, Peppa and Iggle Piggle in equal quantities, but thanks for giving me some ideas. A grapefruit in fondant....fabulous thinking!

What ingredients you used for the sponge?
What size pudding bowl?
Did you use any thing to stick the icing to the sponge and grapefruit?
Did you buy the icing already in those colours?
How much icing is needed for each piece?
how did you stick the head to the body?
