Orange Cake Recipe
Here's an easy
orange cake recipe!
Ingredients:
Cake:
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup of butter
2 cups of all-purpose flour
4 tsp of baking powder
1 cup of orange juice
orange zest (from 3 small oranges)
4 Eggs
Sauce:
1/2 cup of orange juice
2/3 cup of sugar
Preparation:
Heat the oven beforehand to
350 F.
1. Whisk the butter and sugar
with an electric mixer.
2. Put in the eggs one by one
and combine the mixture.
3. Gradually put in the sieved
baking powder and flour.
4. Now add the orange juice
and zest and blend them into the mixture.
5. Transfer the the batter
into a Pyrex dish and cook in the oven for 40 min or till the cake turns golden
in color.
6. Set the cake aside to cool.
7. Now, put the sauce ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil. This usually takes 5 minutes.
8. When the sauce has cooled
down, spoon it over the cake.
Refrigerate the cake after
covering it.
