My "Berry Lovely" Wedding Cake

My wedding cake was not quite a shortcake but then not quite a torte. It was however very delicious and beautiful. It had a very light frosting over a moist yellow cake and the filling was made with real strawberries and cream. It was like eating shortcake without the ice cream!

After we picked out the cake the baker asked what kind of topper we had....well we didn't have one. She said no problem and came up with the dancing couple at the bottom of the stairs and strawberries at the top...super awesome!

I think it fed about 75 and I'm sure it was under $200. The cake was purchased from Maxim's in Brookfield, WI.
