My Beautiful Wedding Cake!

Beautiful Wedding Cake
My cake was inspired by the cake of another close friend, who gave me the idea to wrap ribbons around the tiers. The ribbons are in my wedding colors, and the black ribbon is actually semi-transparent and has beaded embroidery on it.
I selected the ribbon myself at a crafts store and delivered it to my bakery, who placed it on the cake.I could not find a topper I liked, but am rather pleased with the way the rose petals (silk ones, actually) look.
The cake itself was baked and decorated by Publix, and cost about a dollar a slice -- a steal since the cake has cherry filling!
I selected buttercream icing, as I do not care for the flavor of fondant, and, although it is a little hard to see, there is a slight "pearl" texture on the cake to give it a little more visual interest. And the cake tasted just as good as it looked.
