Moist Pound Cake Recipe
Have you been trying to find a moist pound cake recipe?
Well, this is your lucky day!
Aunt Vickie, from Slidell, Louisiana, was kind enough to make this cake for
us and to share her old family recipe.
The ingredients are:
3 cups sugar
3 cups cake flour (she uses Swans Down)
2 blocks margarine or butter
1 cup whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
The preparation instructions are:
Cream the butter and sugar.
Add the eggs, one at a time.
Beat after each egg is added.
Add flour and whipping cream and then the rest of the flour.
Bake in a tube pan for 70-75 minutes at 300 degrees F.

It was so tasty that several of us had more than one piece!
We were so excited to eat it, that we didn't even let Aunt Vickie
prepare her delicious glaze topping.
