I wanted to make a cake for my cousin who was turning 5 a couple years ago. For some reason though, she loves cupcakes more than regular cakes - so I decided to make her a batch of cupcakes that spelled out "Happy Birthday!"
I used my mom's recipe for double chocolate cake and used Betty Crocker vanilla icing (my cousin's favorite). I spelled my birthday message out with purple icing, since that's her favorite color!
