Marble Cake Recipe

This marble cake recipe came from my grandma, she made this all the time and it is really good.

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup of milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup chocolate syrup
1/4 tsp. soda

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add dry ingredients, which have been sifted together,alternate with milk and vanilla. Pour 2/3 of batter into a greased and floured tube pan. Mix remaining batter with syrup and soda,add to top of batter in tube pan, "do not mix."

Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until done. Cool 30 minutes before removing from pan. Dust with powdered sugar.
