Let The Kids Decorate!

For my daughter Gigi's seventh birthday, I made a simple spice cake in a square pan and iced it with white buttercream icing. She and I made up several small bowls of colors - blue and green and purple - and put them into piping bags. When her friends came for the party, the girls all helped decorate it!

They loved it and I loved that this 'party activity' was actually productive, not just messy!

No picture because they ate it almost as soon as they decided that it was finished.
