Ladybug Cake

My daughter's name is Hailey and we call her Hailey bug so we thought we would make a ladybug cake for her first birthday.

I used a round cake pan and a cupcake pan. The round part was the body and the cupcake was the head. Then I made red frosting. I had trouble with black frosting so I just used chocolate frosting for the spots then I used the chocolate frosting to make antennas.

I think it turned out pretty good and Hailey loved it and was covered in red frosting when she was done but that is what we wanted for her first birthday.
