Lacy Buttercream Wedding Cake

We ordered this cake from Publix (our local grocery store) because they were the most inexpensive and other friends had good luck with getting their wedding cakes there. As long as the cake was delicious and pretty, at the price Publix was charging, I didn't care what it looked like.

But I wound up being really happy with the cake. I showed the decorator a sample of the lace on the dress, and she changed the look of the icing lace a little bit so the shapes matched my dress.

This was a chocolate cake with raspberry and lemon fillings, and buttercream frosting. It was delicious!

It had about 150 servings, and cost just over $200. (plus a little extra for the roses)

We got our groom's cake there too. It was a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and it got rave reviews!
