La La La La Elmo's World!

Elmo Cake

Elmo Cake

I made this cake for my son's 4th birthday. He was a HUGE fan of Elmo's World on Sesame Street, so I knew making him a cake shaped like Elmo's face would be perfect.

It was really easy to make too! I used a 9 inch round cake pan for the head, and made three cupcakes for the eyes and nose.

I used vanilla/white cake mix for all the parts, then decorated the eyes using white frosting, dyed white frosting orange for his nose and dyed white frosting red for Elmo's fur. For Elmo's mouth, I piped a blue outline in the shape of a smile and then crushed chocolate cookies to fill it in. To make the eyes stand out and look more realistic, I used a black jellybean for each eye.

This cake was a big hit with both my son AND the party guests! It was very easy to make and I would do it again if I needed to!
