Kitty Litter Cake

I love making birthday cakes but was getting bored of the typical cakes. I wanted to make something interesting that would strike everyone as unforgettable. I scoured the internet for ideas and came up with a "Kitty Litter Cake." This would be a cake made to look like a cat's litterbox.

To make it, I made a cake same as I normally do- to make things more interesting I used marble cake so the colors inside would be a swirl of chocolate and white. Then I decorated it with blue frosting which I had added a bit of green and black to so that it would look grayish (the color of cat litter). I then crushed cookies to make crumbs that would appear as litter gravel. Lastly, I took some Tootsie-Rolls and Snickers and bent them into odd shapes so they would appear to be kitty poo.

The cake was a hit though a few people were more than reluctant to try it. My brother loved it and it is certainly a cake no one will ever forget.
