I've Never Had Fruitcake!

I’ve never tried fruitcake but I have heard the stories of fruitcake. The dryness, how hard they are and chewy they can be and how often they get re-gifted. Yet, none of this has detracted me from wanting to try one. For the last two years I’ve been hoping to get one just to see what the fuss is about. But I still haven’t received one as a gift and I rarely do the shopping in order to buy one so I guess I’ll just have to keep on waiting. Maybe one day I can get my husband to make one so I can finally get a taste to this “controversial” cake.
