How To Decorate A Wedding Cake Table

You have your dress and your cake, but now you want to know how to decorate a wedding cake table.

The first thing you should do is consider the style and theme of your wedding. The cake should be a focal point but it shouldn't stick out in a bad way.

Consider using linens that are similar to the ones you are using on the rest of the tables, or you could us an accent color like the red of your roses or the black of the bridesmaid's dresses.

Wedding Cake Stand

The next thing to consider is if you want to use a cake stand, and again that should be determined by the style of your wedding.

If you have a fancy wedding consider a lovely silver cake stand that looks like it belongs to royalty, it adds lift to your cake and adds some extra sparkle and style.

If your wedding is more casual you can use a white or clear cake stand that adds lift or go without one at all.

Wedding Cake Knife and Spatula

Next is the decision on the wedding cake knife and cake spatula that you will be using.

You may want to display them on the cake table as well. Add a ribbon or a flower to the handle to give them more decorative appeal.

Flower Arrangements

Finally there is the issue of what else to add to the table. If your cake is more plain you can add three small flower arrangements around the cake.

Consider the look of the cake when thinking about how to decorate a wedding cake table. If you have flowers on the cake continue the same flowers on to the table or just use flower petals.

Do you have silver on the cake? Consider using mirrored tiles or glass beads.

One last unique idea is to add a photo in a frame, maybe of the engagement shots or maybe of a family member who has passed away.

We hope that this article has helped give you some ideas for your big day.
