Hostess Cupcake Birthday Cake

I was inspired to make this cake for my son Aaron because he absolutely adores Hostess cupcakes!! I made it for him when he was 8 years old for our family birthday party. I did not use a special pan but I did use mayonaise instead of oil to make the cake moister. I cheated and used boxed cake mix (with the mayonaise variation) only because he likes that kind of cake and i was very busy so the shortcut was fine with me :)

I came up with the idea for it when he was eating a cupcake and said " I wish they made HUGE ones of these, they are SO GOOD but they go so quickly" He was SO excited when he saw it his eyes lit up!!
