Horses Birthday Cake

I made this cake for my daughter's 10th birthday. She was really horse crazy at the time. I had looked for horse cakes at the local stores, but we didn't find what she wanted.

Making the cake was actually fairly simple. I just used square cake pans and stacked them on top of each other. The cake is frosted with store-bought icing that I tinted green. Then a grass-tip frosting applicator was used to make the grass for the wild horses to run through. The horses came from the toy store and were played with long-after by my daughter.
