Homemade Wedding Cake With Fresh Flowers

This is my wedding cake (May 21, 2005). Not only is it beautiful, but it was HOMEMADE! A friend of ours was in culinary school at the time and didn't have any money for a wedding gift (not that we expected anything - we're not those kind of people). Anyway, this was her "gift" to us!

We got to pick out EXACTLY what kind of cake we wanted (Funfetti, believe it or not!), what kind of frosting (cream cheese) and what "shape" we wanted. The rest we left to her and her creative genius.

She ended up making this wonderful 3-tied cake for us, complete with fresh flowers and a cute tiara to round off the wedding theme. It was better than anything that we ever could have ordered from a bakery! Made with love and care - can't beat that!
